More people know how to crack the encryption on HD-DVD disks than own HD-DVD players.
Another theory: Most people who 'rallied together to fight the man' yesterday and dugg stories like there was no tomorrow, don't remember even the first 4 digits of the key by today, much less what to do with it in the fist place.
I get what you're saying but you're being too generous. They don't know how to crack it, they just know the encryption key.
How about this:
More people know exactly where they can find out how to to crack HD-DVD's DRM than have even considered buying an HD-DVD player.
Haha. So true. :)
A more generalized theory:
More people want to pretend to be rebels for a cause than those who understand (and sometimes support) the cause.
i don't care what any of y'allz say. i don't care if the protesters were psuedo hackers or what. i think it was funny and a positive thing to happen.
@jeremy you meant "processing key"?
agree with Sunil...thats as true as it can get
