National Pig Day!

I grew up in Pennsylvania, where they still observe the fake holiday "Flag Day". That's even lower than Arbor Day. So I'm quite pleased that someone is observing National Pig Day -- this is the kind of event I can really sink my teeth into.

I love fake holidays.

My favorite is "Sweetest Day." So nearly as I can tell this is a holiday fabricated entirely by the makers of greeting cards and valentine novelties as a way to sell off their excess stock each fall before going into the production run of their new products for the following febuary.

It's better than Grand Parents' and Secretaries' day.
