<p>Yay for people figuring things out. I'd feel bad for Google's PR department that things are leaking out (I'm sure they have a much more interesting, pigeon-powered description of the service) but on the other hand, this can't be bad for buzz.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>Yeah, I don't think it'll just be a Jabber server. Seems like there's a bit more to it. I mean, Google tries to make everything as user friendly as possible. I don't think Jabber's too user friendly, although it's cool.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>I've been talking to a few people via my Google account tonight using <a href="http://gaim.sourceforge.net/" rel="nofollow">GAIM</a> and it seems fine.  Now <a href="http://www.google.com/talk/" rel="nofollow">Google Talk</a> has the application available for download.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>I think this whole thing was a big let down.  I don't know how much you can improve on all the existing IM programs - just because it's google doesn't mean everyone is going to abandon what they already use.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>Although I want to give Google some leeway cos Google Talk is in its Beta, I sure feel its a big let down.</p>

<p>Like donnie put it, most people wont abandon their IM programs for Google(I sure wont abandon MSN).But  <br />
it sure will be interesting to see whether Google Talk can match/surpass the MSN/Yahoo hegemony.<br />
