My Greatest Milestone
June 14, 2005
I've been very fortunate thus far in my career, getting to work on really interesting projects with very smart people, getting to meet some of my heroes, having the satisfaction of seeing my work acknowledged by users or my peers. But perhaps no recognition that I've received is quite so flattering as the fact that there's been a vote for deletion (VfD) for the Wikipedia page about me. There's certainly good reasons for haters to be annoyed by me, but you're nobody until somebody hates you for no good reason at all.
Thanks to Justin for the heads-up. And if you're looking for a productive, non-goofy contribution to Wikipedia, Dan's doing some amazing work, as always.

That's amusing :) . Looks like someone's got a thing against blogs.
Yeah, I say she stays too!
Seems to be a spillover from the VfD over Tristan Louis -- somebody dared the deletionists to get rid of a whole bunch more bloggers, and somebody created a sock puppet to do just that.
So don't go thinking you're special here -- why, you're just a cog in the greater machine of Deletionists vs. Inclusionists.
At least you didn't write your own entry, like TNL did. ;-)
Checks history ... at least I can't prove that you did ...
Thanks for commenting on my site! It's always good when celebrities turn up out of nowhere to lend a hand! In any case, I am not using Spamlookup primarily because I don't know how to install it and breaking the installation and bugging my friend again is simply not an option.
Furthermore, previously I had Blacklist installed which did not work very well. I'm sure there must've been something wrong with what I was doing but I simply can no longer keep up with the complexities of MT. 'Tis the simple life for me.
Blogger now even has RSS feeds. I don't see a real reason why I should stick with MT.
Again thanks for your comment and I apologize for trolling this discussion as posting a reply on my own comments was obviously impractical.
Me again. I just wanted to ask that if I *do* switch over to blogger is it suicide to leave anonymous comments open? Is it possible that spambots that have taken my domain name as workspace only work through MT and will generally leave Blogger stuff alone? Logically speaking it shouldn't be true, right since they both have similar "Name" and "URL" fields, etc.
Your help in this regard is appreciated.
Take care

Anil, is there something you're hiding from us?
Nothing against Anil in particular but if he qualifies for a personal entry, then we all do. I'm going to campaign for personal entries to be included in Wikipedia from now on - we're all special in our own way!
Gashdot, I actually don't have an opinion either way about whether there should be an article on me. I think having a debate about it is really entertaining, though. :)
Jay, lots of people think I'm a woman if they just read my blog (and there's no photo of me on the page). I guess it's the name and the purple.
Uzer S., I'll take the replies to your questions offline, but thanks for commenting.
hmm.. As you said Anil (or Anila if it may so be), the fact that this is being debated should go down as an event in History Wikipedia!
Cheers!
