        <![CDATA[<p>Looking at the linked article, it's obvious that nor did the narrow belief that national governmants could regulate what people view.

<p>If I want to say something my government wouldn't like, I can put it on the web. If the government tried to stop me (and I felt strongly enough about what I wanted to say) I could affordably host it in any of two dozen countries beyond Helen's reach.

<p>Even the Chinese with their great firewall can't completely control what their citizens read. Liberal (Western) democracies haven't a hope.</p></p></p>]]>
