If you want to own a piece of history, you can buy my old laptops that I reviewed on my blog and featured in a story in Business 2.0!

Okay, it's just my old laptop and its broken predecessor, but I figured it sounded more exciting to call it a piece of history.

I generally liked my VPR Matrix but I could never get the standby and/or hibernation to work as I expected. I would put it to sleep and stick it in my bag and it would get *really* hot and dwindle the battery to zilch. Did you have that problem? This is one area where Apple knocked it out of the park. Slepp works perfectly on MacOS/Mac.

I never had problems with sleep on the machine (XP's drivers are what make Windows hibernation screw up, usually) but it did run awful hot. The deal-breaker for me was just size, but people who like widescreen machines usually don't care much about that.
