Every once in a while, the random shuffle kicks up "Breathe On Me", off of Britney's In The Zone, and the song makes me terrifically sad, even though it's not that bad.

Why, you ask? Well, because this song is clearly the sound of Mark Taylor's failed aspiration of getting a track on a Kylie Minogue album. I can just imagine the conversation. "Well," he sighed, "Kylie's people called, and the 'Breathe' track got cut from the album. Guess we should call Jive and see if they want it for Britney. *sob*"

Chin up, Mark! It still sounds just like it would on Kylie's album. Unfortunately, as with all Britney tracks, it would have sounded better as an instrumental.

Yup, those were exactly my thoughts the first time I heard the track. It fairly SCREAMS Kylie Minogue.

That said, a couple of the tracks on "Body Language" feature Kylie doing Britney's infamous "Owh, Owh." Check out "Secret" or "You Make Me Feel."

I have to admit that, with their shared slick production and thin vocal strength, Kylie, Britney, and Madonna are all starting to sound similar.

Christina Aguilera may wear too much makeup, but at least the woman can sing.

Sniff. Anil, I'm so glad we can talk like this.

Not to be confused with the subject at hand, but really ... Kylie and Britney are mostly exaggerated pieces of pop music that is played ad nauseum. Folks care less if they borrowed tracks from each other. What would matter is if they both did the world a favor and just leave the singing to professionals. Sorry Anil.
